Cowboys Dancehalls in San Antonio has a TABC and DWI Problem
The Cowboys Dancehall brands of Western honky-tonk bars have been very popular in the San Antonio and Dallas areas for a long time. But, with their popularity, has come a slew of alcohol related accidents that occur either at one of their bars, or, such as a dram shop case, occur because of irresponsible alcohol service. According to a recent news article, from 2012 to present, almost 550 DWIs in the San Antonio area were the result of a night out at the Cowboy Dancehall at 3030 Loop 410 Northeast.
Simply because a Cowboys Dancehall location was investigated, it does not mean that they are a location that displays a pattern of violating TABC code. Conversely, if a location has been investigated and investigators determine that they are not in violation of TABC code, that does not mean that the alleged violation did not take place. At times, sufficient evidence required to prove that either criminal or administrative violations occurred is hard to come by. We are simply reporting the locations that were put on the TABC's radar for one reason or another by concerned citizens and law enforcement agencies.

Allegation:
On 3/28/2018, it was alleged by a patron that this location had allowed an employee to sell narcotics and alcohol to a minor.
TABC investigators closed the case on 06/06/2018, and issued a written warning for possessing distilled spirits without an ID stamp.
San Antonio - 3030 Loop 410 Northeast
Allegation:
On 10/25/2017, this location was alleged to have served alcohol to an intoxicated person.
Later, on 12/15/2017, TABC investigators closed the investigation with no further action taken.

Allegation:
On 06/14/2017, this location was alleged to have sold alcohol to a minor.
TABC investigators closed their investigation of the matter on 7/15/2017 and took no further action.

Allegation:
A member of the San Antonio community alleged that this location had sold alcohol to an intoxicated minor.
TABC investigators decided to close the investigation on 2/18/2017 with no further action taken.

On 03/23/2016, it was alleged by a private citizen that this location had sold alcohol to an intoxicated person.
The investigation was closed on 4/13/2016 with no further action taken.

Allegation:
On 1/5/2016, this location was alleged to have allowed a minor consume alcohol, allowed the possession and sale of drugs, and there was an altercation that resulted from these allegations.
On 5/19/2016, investigators closed the case with no further action.
