The San Antonio Police Department provides three ways to request a copy of your accident report.
Through regular US mail, you may download and complete the Police Report Request Form online and mail it with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the San Antonio Police Department Records Office located at 315 South Santa Rosa, San Antonio, Texas 78207.
In-Person
You can go to the San Antonio Police Department Records Office at the same address to purchase a copy of your accident report. The Record Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Online
The City of San Antonio’s website provides a link to request a copy of your accident report online. In some situations, it may take up to 14 days from the crash date for the accident report to become available online.
If your accident occurred in Bexar County and the sheriff reported to the scene of your collision, obtaining a copy of your accident report may be done in person or by mail.
In-Person
You may visit the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 200 N. Comal Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It costs $6.00 to order a copy of an accident report and $8.00 for a certified copy. You may wish to call the sheriff’s office at (210) 335-6323 to ensure your report is complete.
You may send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and money order to the Bexar County Sheriff to the Reports Desk at 200 N. Comal Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207.
Additional counties across San Antonio also upload their crash data to the Crash Records Information Crash Records Information System, allowing you to search for your crash report. You must provide identifying information connecting you to the report, including your driver’s license and name.
The reporting police officer may provide you with an accident report receipt at the scene that is useful for locating your accident report.
