According to officials, a 30-year-old man and a 56-year-old man were in a Chevy Tahoe going southbound on the highway. The vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed into a fence off-road.

Both occupants in the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash. No other details about the crash can be confirmed at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Perhaps this crash involved common factors like distracted driving, unsafe speeds, or fatigue. Or, maybe something unusual or unavoidable happened. Did a tire blow out? Did the vehicle have some kind of defect? Was there debris or an object in the road? People tend to assume authorities sort all of this out, but it would surprise folks just how often I come across official investigations that amount to little more than an officer’s best guess at the facts. Some departments treat accident reconstruction as a low priority, so even skilled and dedicated officers might not have the time or tools they need to do a proper investigation. It’s why a lot of families feel more comfortable having independent investigators look over things. If nothing else, that can help ensure that the victims’ side of the story is told fairly.
