Even as authorities work to possibly issue charges here, it’s important to ensure this situation also gets a dedicate accident investigation. Sometimes, authorities begin and end their efforts with finding a “bad guy” to blame. For victims and families, though, that’s just one part of a proper resolution. They need as many facts telling the story as possible to help navigate whatever path is available to them to get benefits or ensure there’s a just resolution for what happened. Charges can be an important piece of the puzzle, but it’s still just one piece.
