Lubbock, TX — January 4, 2025, Fabian Vitolas was killed and Christopher Dunn and Amanda Rodriguez were injured in a car accident at about 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 87.

Authorities said a 2017 Dodge Durango collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche while heading north on the highway. The pickup had been driving west on County Road 7150.

Chevrolet driver Fabian Vitolas, 36, died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities. Passenger Christopher Dunn, 22, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Dodge driver Amanda Rodriguez, 40, suffered minor injuries in the crash, authorities said.

The accident is still under investigation.
