Moore County, TX — January 24, 2024, Jason Scot Wright was killed in a truck accident at approximately 1:00 a.m. along U.S. Highway 87.
According to authorities, 54-year-old Jason Wright was traveling in a westbound Chevy Trailblazer along U.S. 87 in the vicinity east of Hartley when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Trailblazer failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, crossing over the center line and entering the eastbound lane of traffic. This resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming 18-wheeler.
Wright reportedly incurred critical injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local hospital by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome his injuries, having been declared decease at the hospital.
