Collin County, TX — November 15, 2023, Noorjahan Sarangi and another driver were injured following a car accident at around 5:12 p.m. along County Road 123.
Authorities say they were called out to the area of the C.R. 123 (Bloomdale Road) and C.R. 124 intersection, just outside of Prosper near North Custer Road.
According to officials, 35-year-old Noorjahan Sarangi was in a Toyota Rav4 going eastbound on C.R. 123. While doing so, police say that an oncoming Volkswagen attempted to pass another vehicle on the left, entering eastbound lanes. This led to the Volkswagen colliding head-on into Sarangi’s vehicle.
Due to the collision, Sarangi reportedly had moderate injuries while the other driver’s injuries were called serious. Authorities believe the driver who crashed into Sarangi’s vehicle had been drinking, saying there were open containers in the Volkswagen. DWI charges were recommended.
