Leander, TX — December 2, 2023, Joshua Smith was injured in a car accident shortly after 2:45 in the morning along Bagdad Road.
According to reports, 20-year-old Joshua Smith was traveling in a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck just north of the Spivey Road intersection when the accident occurred.
For reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup was unable to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly veered to the left, crossing over the center line and the southbound lane before leaving the roadway completely where it came to a stop only after colliding with a raised bar ditch. Smith reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; he was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. Additional information pertaining to this incident is currently unavailable.
