Houston, TX — December 11, 2022, Junping Tang was injured in an alleged hit-and-run car accident around 2:10 p.m. on Richmond Ave. in Houston.
According to officials, the victim’s Kia Sorento and a Buick Verano were eastbound when the Verano allegedly rear-ended the Sorento and then fled the scene. Mr. Tang was transported to a hospital with purportedly serious injuries.

The speed limit for Richmond Ave. is 35 mph and the impact was to the rear of the victim’s vehicle, so it makes me wonder: Did the Sorento perform as designed, or was there a possible defect in its safety mechanisms?
