Authorities report Patricia Boor and Tonya Acosta-Abernathy were in an SUV heading northbound when the SUV collided head-on with a northbound semi-truck. The collision’s impact reportedly sent both vehicles off the roadway, and the semi-truck came to a rest in the front yard of a residence.
Patricia Boor and Tonya Acosta-Abernathy suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased t the scene of the accident. The semi-truck driver was reportedly transported to a hospital with serious injuries. the residence was not damaged.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
