How Did This Accident Occur?
When faced with pedestrian-involved accidents, some people are quick to blame the victim. I’m not one to jump to conclusions after over thirty years in this career, though. What if driver error was a factor? Maybe the man who had been driving the Odyssey distracted, fatigued, or even impaired in some way? Or perhaps it was not driver error, at all. Maybe the collision was a result of an issue with the vehicle? For example, did it it have a steering column issue? Or maybe a tire blowout? Honestly, the list of possibilities goes on and on.
Hopefully investigators—whether the authorities or a third party—get to the bottom of it. After all, the people affected by this accident—the loved ones left behind by the victim—deserve to be given clear answers backed by solid evidence. Vague assumptions based on surface-level investigation just can’t provide the kind of clarity they need.
