Accident Report

March 30, 2026, a pedestrian sustained fatal injuries due to a car accident at around 2:22 p.m. along Fort Hood Street.

Preliminary details released by the Killeen Police Department said the crash happened near the Lampasas River crossing along Fort Hood Street, just south of town.

It appears that a 43-year-old man was on foot in the area of southbound lanes of the highway. While walking, a Chevy pickup struck the pedestrian from behind. Due to this, the pedestrian was fatally injured.

Authorities say that the driver remained at the scene. No charges or citations have been reported at this time.
