Leonard, TX — August 4, 2024, Jonathan Standerfer was killed following a car accident that occurred at around 12:49 P.M. on Hwy 69.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person dead during the afternoon hours of August 4th. According to official reports, Jonathan Standerfer was travelling in a Ford Escape on Hwy 69 in the eastbound lanes when a Dodge pickup was reportedly attempting to pass multiple vehicles and was in the opposite lane which was occupied by Standerfer. Though both vehicles attempted evasive measures, a collision still took place.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Standerfer had sustained critical injuries which he succumbed to. At this time there has been no further information released from the accident, including whether any charges or citations will be filed.
