Wilbarger County, TX — June 19, 2023, James Duncan Sr. was killed as the result of a single vehicle rollover accident at around 4:25 p.m. along County Road 117.
Preliminary details about the accident said that it took place in the area of the County Road 117 and F.M. 1763 intersection.
According to statements from officials, 58-year-old James Duncan Sr. was in a Chevy Silverado that was going southbound along County Road 117. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the vehicle drifted left off the roadway before then veering back to the right. The Chevy then went off-road again and overturned down an embankment.
As a result of the accident, Duncan sustained injuries that ultimately proved fatal. There is no indication at this of anyone else being involved in the wreck. Weather conditions at the time of the crash were described as clear. Authorities have not given any additional details about the crash.
