San Diego, CA — January 25, 2024, Eric Cavaness was killed in a truck accident at approximately 4:15 a.m. along Interstate 5.
According to authorities, 39-year-old Eric Cavaness was traveling in a southbound Toyota Tundra along I-5 in the vicinity south of Del Mar Heights Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Tundra collided with the back of an 18-wheeler, becoming wedged underneath it and bursting into flames. Cavaness incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
