Coke County, TX — June 2, 2023, Eliseo Puentez was killed in a commercial truck accident around 9 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 277 in Coke County.
Officials report the victim’s Ford F-150 was traveling north while a Kenworth semi-truck was southbound on U.S. Hwy. 277 when the two vehicles collided head-on. The impact purportedly forced the F-150 to leave the road to the western side in a counter-clockwise spin. The semi-truck allegedly drove off the road to the eastern side where it struck a telephone pole and a barbed wire fence.
Eliseo Puentez was fatally injured in the collision. The semi-truck driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
