Howe, TX — July 2, 2024, Dean Grauman was killed and another person was injured in a pedestrian versus car accident at about 5:00 a.m. on Haning Street.

According to authorities, 55-year-old Dean Grauman was on foot tying down some tree branches in his pickup truck on Haning Street in the vicinity of the Bean Street intersection when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Grauman and his vehicle were struck by another pickup truck. The striking pickup was overturned over the course of the accident, as well.

Grauman suffered fatal injuries due to the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. The occupant of the overturned pickup incurred injuries of unknown severity and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
