Dallas County, TX — March 22, 2024, David Shute and one other person were injured in a rear-end car accident shortly before 5:00 p.m. along Moore Road.

According to authorities, 65-year-old David Shute and a 65-year-old woman were at a halt in a northbound Acura waiting for southbound traffic to clear on South Moore Road in order to make safely make a left turn into a school parking lot in the vicinity north of Shadowcrest Lane when the accident took place.

A Dodge Grand Caravan minivan had safely come to a stop behind the Acura. However, a northbound Audi failed to do so, as well, resulting in a rear-end crash with the minivan. This collision pushed the minivan forward, causing a secondary crash between the front-end of the minivan and the rear-end of the Acura.

Shute incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the woman who was also an occupant of the Acura sustained apparently minor injuries. Those who necessitated it were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
