Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Mercedes-Benz was involved in a collision with a Hyundai sedan occupied by a 22-year-old man.

How Did This Accident Occur?

There are still a lot of things we don’t know about this accident, so the wisest thing for us to do is wait for the authorities to complete their investigation. There are just too many things that might have happened. Was driver error involved? Was one of the drivers distracted, fatigued, or impaired? What about the vehicles? Was there a tire blowout? What about a throttle malfunction? Perhaps there was a brake failure? Honestly, the list of possibilities goes on and on.

I do hope that the authorities get vehicle inspections done on the cars involved. That way, these questions about underlying mechanical issues can be properly answered. If they fail to, for any reason, then a third party investigator can take that step, if need be, in order to make sure all bases are covered. After all, the people who were affected by this wreck deserve to know the facts and have them backed up by hard evidence.
