How Did This Accident Occur?
Why did this bus go over an embankment? Did the driver miss a turn, or was there some sort of mechanical issue with the bus that caused the crash?
I’ve seen these scenarios contributed to crashes during my career investigating commercial vehicle accidents, but at this point we don’t know what caused this crash near Interstate 43 in Green Bay. That is why a full investigation is needed.
The investigation, by police or an independent third-party, will rely on witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the bus’ engine control module and any available video footage, possibly from the bus itself. That should provide the answers needed to explain this crash.
