Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

It’s encouraging to see authorities believe they found the would-be runaway driver here. However, that’s likely just the first step of many. The fact of the matter is a multi-vehicle crash involving a commercial truck is bound to create a chaotic accident scene. Without thorough steps to secure physical evidence, interview drivers and witnesses, pull vehicle data and cell phone records, and other important details, something important could slip through the cracks. Hopefully authorities are treating this accident as a top priority.
