Harris County, TX — October 10, 2024, Joshua Barrera died following a motorcycle accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. along Genoa Red Bluff Road.
According to authorities, 34-year-old Joshua Barrera was traveling on an eastbound Yamaha motorcycle on Genoa Red Bluff Road in the vicinity west of the Baywood Drive intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the motorcycle failed to safely maintain its lane of travel; it reportedly veered left where it struck a curb, causing the motorcycle to crash. Barrera sustained critical injuries over the course of the accident, according to reports; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of this injuries, having been declared deceased on November 3, 2024.
