San Antonio, TX — February 2, 2024, Sandra Trevino Martinez was killed while two others were injured in a car accident around 2:30 a.m. along Gibbs-sprawl Rd.
According to reports, 35-year-old Sandra Trevino Martinez was traveling in a southwest bound Ford Escape on Gibbs-sprawl Road in the vicinity approximately a quarter of a mile southwest of the Woodlake Parkway intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Ford failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, crossing over the center line and entering the northeast bound lane of the roadway. This resulted in a collision between the passenger side of the Ford and the front end of an oncoming Ford Expedition SUV.
Martinez incurred reportedly fatal injuries due to the wreck. A 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman who had been occupants of the SUV sustained suspected moderate injuries. They were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
