San Benito, TX — December 31, 2023, a man was injured following a car accident that happened at around 12:53 a.m. along Expressway 83.
According to information released by authorities, the crash took place along the eastbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Zillock Road.
Officials said that a 30-year-old man was in a Dodge Avenger traveling along the right lane of eastbound Expressway 83. For reasons unclear, the vehicle apparently got onto the shoulder where it crashed into the back of a Land Rover that was parked.
The crash resulted in the Dodge driver suffering serious injuries. There did not appear to be anyone in the Land Rover at the time of the collision. Right now, there are no additional details about the crash to confirm.
