Denton, TX — May 23, 2023, Yasha Reedy and Zahir Waheed Chaudhary were injured following a commercial truck accident at 4:22 p.m. on University Drive.
According to initial statements about the crash from the authorities, the incident happened in the area of the University Drive/U.S. 377 and Riverside Drive intersection.
Preliminary information says that 43-year-old Yasha Reedy was in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was going westbound along University. 69-year-old Zahir Waheed Chaudhary was said to be the driver of an Audi that was eastbound along University. Somehow, the Audi and an 18-wheeler also going eastbound collided. This forced the Audi to careen into oncoming lanes where it crashed head-on with Reedy’s Jeep.
It appears that both Reedy and Chaudhary had injuries believed to be incapacitating. There were no other reported injuries. Currently, additional details about factors surrounding the crash cannot be confirmed pending further investigations.
