Harris County, TX — July 15, 2024, Vande Shuffield was injured following a truck accident just after 6:00 a.m. along Farm to Market 1960.
According to authorities, 59-year-old Vande Shuffield was traveling in a westbound Ford F-150 pickup ruck on F.M. 1960 at an intersection with a private road in the vicinity west of Belleau Wood Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Peterbilt 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow that had been traveling southbound on the private drive attempted a right turn onto F.M. 1960 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to roadway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-right of the pickup truck and the back-left of the semi’s trailer.
Shuffield suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
