Archer City, TX — July 9, 2023, a child was killed and Tyler Mark Steel and two children were injured in a car accident at around 9:45 p.m. along Rose Street.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened in the area of the South Rose Street and East South Street intersection.
Investigators said that 30-year-old Tyler Mark Steel and three children were in a pickup that was going southbound along Rose Street. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the pickup ran off the side of the road. It crashed through a ditch before then overturning.
As a result of the crash, a 6-year-old in the pickup sustained fatal injuries. Steel and two 12-year-olds in the pickup were taken to be treated for their injuries. It appears no one else was hurt. No further information about the accident is still under investigation at this time.
