Van Zandt County, TX — March 5, 2023, a commercial truck driver was injured in an accident around 1:50 p.m. on I-20 in Van Zandt County.
According to officials, a Peterbilt tractor-trailer was eastbound on I-20 it collided with a disabled International tractor-trailer.
Authorities report the International tractor-trailer had previously gone the wrong way on an I-20 exit ramp, attempted to turn the correct way once on I-20, and became stuck blocking all eastbound lanes of traffic.
The Peterbilt’s nose struck the left back side of the International’s trailer.
The driver of the Peterbilt truck reportedly suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the International tractor-trailer was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
