Weslaco, TX — July 6, 2023, two people were injured as the result of a multi-vehicle accident at around 12:30 p.m. along Interstate 2.
Preliminary information about the accident says that it took place in the area of I-2 between Texas Boulevard and Westgate Drive.
Authorities have yet to release specific information about the factors contributing to the crash. Right now, their initial statements say only that five vehicles, at least one of which was a commercial truck, crossed paths and collided. Due to this, at least two people were taken to the hospital. Their injuries at this time are described as non-life-threatening.
There are no reported charges or citations at this time, and additional details about the crash are unavailable pending more thorough investigations.
