UPDATE (January 11, 2024): Authorities have released more details on the fatal crash which reportedly took the lives of Timothy Greening and Pamela Greening.
According to more recent reports, Timothy Greening and Pamela Greening were passengers in a Kia Sportage reportedly driven by Ulku Kaya. Also riding in the Kia was Robert Lee Greening. Their vehicle was going northbound on Highway 35 at the time and entered the intersection with 16th Street. There, a westbound Dodge Ram allegedly ran the stop sign and hit the Kia, killing Timothy and Pamela Greening. Details say that Ulku Kaya and Robert Greening had apparently serious injuries, as did the driver of the Dodge.
At the time of writing, Rockport Police say they’re charging the Dodge driver with two counts of Manslaughter and two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. No further information about the crash can be confirmed right now.
Rockport, TX — December 28, 2023, two people were killed in a car accident that took place around 10:00 p.m. along S.H. 35.
According to authorities, a pickup truck was traveling westbound on 16th Street approaching the Texas Highway 35 intersection when that accident occurred.
For unknown reasons, the pickup allegedly entered the intersection at an unsafe time, resulting in a collision with a vehicle which had been traveling northbound on the Bypass. The crash caused the vehicle to begin rolling after it entered the dirt area of the median. Two people who had been occupying the northbound vehicle reportedly sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were not reported on. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are unavailable at this point in time.
