Walker County, TX — August 10, 2023, three people were injured in a commercial truck accident around 9:36 a.m. on I-45 in Walker County.
According to investigators, a Chevy Equinox and a Freightliner semi-truck were northbound on I-45 a little ways north of mile-marker 127 when, for some unreported reason, the Equinox veered toward its passenger side and collided with a disabled Chevy Tahoe. The impact with the pickup truck reportedly caused the Equinox to slide sideways back across all of the northbound lanes before it was allegedly struck by the northbound Freightliner.
Officials report the Equinox driver sustained serious injuries, the Tahoe driver and passenger suffered minor injuries, and the semi-truck driver was uninjured.
Reports indicate authorities have not determined the cause of the crash.
