How Did This Accident Occur?

When a car rear-ends another vehicle at 3:30 in the morning, you naturally have to wonder if it was a case of a driver who was distracted, fatigued or even impaired, but authorities can’t stop there in their investigation.

We don’t know if the Dodge pickup was stopped or moving at the time of the crash. If it was stopped without lights, it likely would have been hard for the Chevrolet driver to avoid it.

If both vehicles were moving, investigators should determine if the Chevrolet had some sort of mechanical issue that caused unexpected acceleration. Or maybe its brakes failed before the crash.

Any of these scenarios could explain this crash, but we won’t know what actually happened here until the investigation is complete.

This kind of investigation will provide answers for the injured women and their families in the wake of this accident.
