Teenagers Injured in Car Accident on County Road 209 in Wharton County, TX

According to officials, three teenagers, ages 17, 15, and 16, were in a Ford F-350 going westbound on C.R. 209. For reasons not confirmed right now, the vehicle lost control veered off-road, and overturned repeatedly. The two passengers in the vehicle had serious injuries while the driver reportedly had moderate injuries.

In their statements, authorities said that it’s possible alcohol contributed to the accident. Perhaps that’s just speculation on their part, but it’s a serious possibility when minors are involved. In those situations, it’s important to consider factors beyond the scene itself. Someone may have provided alcohol to minors, and it’s even possible some local alcohol provider knowingly or negligent sold it to them. That’s not something any reasonable person would let slide, so hopefully authorities are being thorough here to make sure they know the whole story.
