Walker County, TX — June 29, 2023, Steven Derrick Delgado was injured following a semi-truck accident at around 7:01 a.m. along I-45.
Investigations said that the incident took place along the southbound lanes of the interstate near Private Road 40.
According to officials, 30-year-old Steven Derrick Delgado was in a Chevy Silverado traveling along the interstate. Delgado reportedly stopped along the side of the highway after running out of gas. Authorities say that a commercial truck somehow went out of its lane and crashed into the Silverado, forcing it off road.
Delgado sustained injuries said to be incapacitating due to the collision. It appears there were no other confirmed injuries. Authorities did not release any additional details about the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
