Nueces County, TX — August 29, 2023, Sixto Vela was injured in a two-vehicle truck accident around 10:40 a.m. at C.R. 81 and C.R. 38 in Nueces County.
According to officials, Mr. Vela’s Blue Kenworth Semi-truck was heading north on C.R. 81 and crossing the intersection with C.R. 38 when it collided with a white Mack semi-truck that had reportedly been traveling west.
Investigators report that C.R. 38 must yield to C.R. 81 and that the white Mack truck failed to stop at a stop sign.
Sixto Vela, 46, was reportedly taken to a medical center with serious injuries, while the other truck driver was purportedly uninjured.
