Henrico County, VA — January 31, 2025, Silvio Sobrinho was killed in a truck accident at about 11:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 295.
Authorities said two semi-trucks collided near mile marker 25, forcing one of them off the road. The driver of that semi was found slumped against the steering wheel when the driver of a northbound truck stopped to see what had happened.
The stricken driver, Massachusetts resident Silvio Sobrinho, 58, died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
Authorities are investigating the crash as a potential road rage incident because the truck that crashed had several bullet holes in its passenger side.
The other truck involved in the crash was described as a white semi-truck with green lettering, according to authorities.
Authorities are seeking dashcam footage or other information to aid in their investigation of the crash.

I don’t really know what to make of this incident based on the information available right now, but I do know that I hope authorities do whatever it takes to get answers for the people who really need them—who lost someone close to them. If all it grants them is some peace of mind about what happened, so be it, but if someone should be held accountable, then let justice be done.
