Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Pedestrian accidents can sometimes be more complex than people realize. It’s not always as simple as knowing who had the right-of-way. Sometimes, there are extenuating circumstances to consider. Distraction, poor signage, alcohol, lack of lighting, medical conditions, road design flaws—likely or not, these are the kinds of things that need attention if those affected by the accident are going to get the answers they deserve. It remains to be seen if authorities are taking steps to get those answers.
