Pedestrian accidents sometimes raise challenges that people don’t expect. A lot of folks just assume everything comes down to right-of-way. The law is more complex than that, though. There also has to be consideration for visibility, lighting and signage, distraction, alcohol, road design, and other possible contributing factors. Likely or not, these things can play important roles in a pedestrian getting hurt or killed. If authorities can’t guarantee they’re looking into these possible factors, there may need to be a second set of eyes looking things over to ensure the victim’s loved ones get the answers they deserve.
