Forsyth County, NC — June 27, 2023, one was killed and two people sustained injuries as the result of a semi-truck accident at 11:30 a.m. on Highway 52.
Preliminary investigations said that the crash took place along Highway 52 South in the area of Moore-RJR Drive.
Details from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said that happened along southbound lanes of the highway. It appears a car and a tractor-trailer were both traveling along Highway 52 when, for reasons which are not clear at this time, the two vehicles collided. Following this, the car went off-road, hit a guardrail, then came back onto travel lanes and collided again with the tractor-trailer.
Due to the accident, one person from the car sustained fatal injuries. Another person from the car reportedly had serious injuries. It appears the tractor-trailer driver had injuries described as minor. Currently, there are no additional details regarding what caused the crash.
