Combined Locks, WI — June 2, 2023, a young girl was killed following an accident where a semi-truck hit her at around 3:00 p.m. on S. Washington Street.
Authorities said that the accident happened off the corner of the South Washington Street and Wallace Street.
Currently, specifics are still under investigation by Outagie County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Their initial statements about the accident say that a 9-year-old girl was walking at the time and attempted to cross the roadway. While doing so, a semi-truck somehow did not avoid her, resulting in the truck hitting the child.
As a result of the collision, the young girl succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene. It’s unclear at this time if authorities suspect any reason to file charges or citations. The factors leading up to the incident are still under investigation at this time.
