Live Oak County, TX — September 14, 2023, a man was injured as the result of a semi-trailer accident at around 6:33 a.m. on U.S. Highway 281.

Details from preliminary investigations say that the crash happened north of town at the entrance to the Love’s Travel Stop.

According to officials, a 34-year-old man was in a Honda HR-V going northbound along the highway. From southbound lanes, authorities allege that a semi-trailer failed to yield turning left toward the Love’s station, and the Honda crashed into the trailer.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Honda sustained injuries described as incapacitating. No one else was hurt. Authorities say that the truck driver was cited for failure to yield, but it’s unclear if there were any additional citations or charges. No further information is available at this time.
