Lubbock, TX — June 4, 2023, Rickey Morrison was killed as the result of a pedestrian accident late Sunday along Parkway Drive.
Preliminary details released by the Lubbock Police Department indicated that the collision happened in the area of the Parkway Drive and MLK Jr. Boulevard.
According to officials, 60-year-old Rickey Morrison was walking at the time and was on the westbound lane of travel at the time. There, a vehicle struck Morrison. This resulted in Morrison sustaining fatal injuries.
The driver did not have any reported injuries. There is no indication at this time that police are considering charges or citations. Factors contributing to the collision cannot be confirmed at this time. Additional details are pending further investigations.
