Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Buick Enclave on 11th Avenue attempted a left turn to head south on Bell Street at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This led to a collision between the front-right quarter of the Buick and the right side of the Explorer.
