Victoria, TX — December 11, 2024, four people were injured following an airplane accident at around 4:00 p.m. along Zac Lentz Parkway.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened near the intersection of TX-463 and Mockingbird Lane.

Details at this time say that a Piper PA-31 was flying when it reportedly ran out of fuel. This caused the plane to make an emergency landing. It ended up crashing onto the highway where it collided with three vehicles.
Due to the accident, four people were taken to the hospital, and one of those people ended up being transferred to another hospital due to their injuries. Right now, additional details are unavailable.

If these initial claims are correct, there aren’t many times where a vehicle—airplane or not—runs out of fuel without the operator doing something wrong. However, it’s always important to know the whole story. For all we know, something damaged the plane, or perhaps there was some kind of defect the pilot wasn’t aware of. Making these kinds of distinctions takes far more thorough investigations than what typically makes the news. Hopefully authorities are getting the details into the hands of experienced professionals who will use the right tools and strategies to consider even unlikely possible factors.
