Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

One of the drivers involved reportedly was charged for DWI after the accident. If that’s true, it’s important to know if authorities are looking into factors beyond that. I’ve seen too many situations where authorities found a driver to charge, and that’s as far as their investigations went. Then, when a family asked us to look into things, we’d find something more, like the fact an alcohol provider illegally over-served someone and contributed to the accident. It might not be what happened here, but it’s something that happens far too often, so it warrants attention to ensure victims and families get the answers they deserved.
