Webb County, TX — May 2, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 6:40 p.m. at Highway 255 and F.M. 3338 in Webb County.
According to officials, the victim’s Chevy Cruze was eastbound on Hwy. 255 crossing the intersection with F.M. 3338 when it collided with a southbound semi-truck.
The Chevy Cruze allegedly swerved toward its passenger side in an attempt to avoid the collision but struck the front passenger side of the truck’s cab with the driver’s side of its nose. The impact allegedly forced the Cruze off the road to the southwest.
The driver of the Chevy Cruze reportedly suffered serious injuries while the truck driver was uninjured.
Police recommended sharing the semi-truck driver with failure to yield the right of way.
