Tomball, TX — December 12, 2022, a driver was injured in a car accident around 7:08 a.m. on F.M. 2978 near Hufsmith-Kuykendahl Rd. in Tomball.
Officials report an eastbound Ford Econoline had just pulled out of a gas station driveway, about 50 ft away from an intersection, when it collided with the victim’s southbound Toyota Highlander on F.M. 2978.
The victim was transported from the crash scene with purportedly serious injuries while the Econoline diver was reportedly uninjured. As the crash is still under scrutiny, officials may be withholding the victim’s names until the next of kin is notified.

It always stands out when a driver is incapacitated by an impact on the opposite side of the vehicle from them, even more so when the impact is from a vehicle pulling out of a parking lot or driveway. Reports do not indicate the cause of the crash, so I hope someone takes the time to examine the Toyota Highlander and how it performed during the crash.
