Irving, TX — March 20, 2023, one person was injured by an alleged drunk driver around 2:05 a.m. on North Walton Walker Blvd. in Irving.
Officials report an alleged drunk driver in a Volkswagon Passat rear-ended a Nissan Altima while both vehicles were traveling northbound on N. Walton Walker Blvd. The impact of the collision reportedly forced the Nissan Altima to rotate counterclockwise and exit the road on the west side.
The Nissan Altima driver was transported to a medical center with reportedly serious injuries.
Police recommended charging the Volkswagon driver with Driving While Intoxicated.
The crash is still under investigation, and officials may be withholding the victim’s name until the next of kin is notified.
