According to officials, 39-year-old Nichole Enriquez and a 34-year-old man were in a Mercedes-Benz going westbound on SPID. At Kostoryz, it appears a northbound Ford F-350 ran the light, crashing into Enriquez’s vehicle. This caused the Ford to rollover and crash into a Subaru Forester driven by Philip Robles as well as a Toyota Corona.

Due to the collision, Nichole Enriquez reportedly had serious injuries. Enriquez’s passenger, Philip Robles, and Linda Robles, who was a passenger in the Subaru, had possibly minor injuries. Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

If the allegations here are true, there could be more to this story than an individual drunk driver. This is because many such accidents also involve negligent alcohol providers, and they, too, can be held accountable. This is because it’s illegal for bars and other alcohol providers to over-serve someone who is obviously intoxicated. If they do so, it can expose those alcohol providers to potential liability, fines, license suspensions, and liability for resulting injuries.

Not only does this provide an avenue for those wrongdoers to be held accountable, it also creates an opportunity for those wrongdoers to carry the burden their actions put on victims and families. So while it’s not clear what all led up to this accident, there’s very likely more that needs to be investigated.
