How Did This Accident Occur?
Any crash involving a motorcycle is going to bring up some common concerns—unsafe speeds being among the most common. It’s entirely possible that this all happened due to a rider driving dangerous. However, I’ve seen countless motorcycle accident investigations where officials jumped to conclusions rather than focusing on the evidence. This common bias against riders can lead to false accusations, which then need independent investigations to correct the record.
Regardless of what happened here, my hope is that the facts are able to tell the story without any sort of unwarranted bias getting in the way. Not only is that important for being fair to the victim, but it’s the best way to ensure the victim’s loved ones get the full story.
Do you think motorcyclists are treated unfairly after crashes like this? Tell me why or why not in the comments.
